The Vaughan String Quartet will be performing again in Edmonton during the mid-March weekend. Three performances, extremely diverse in spirit, setting and repertoire, to celebrate the joy of making music together!
Friday March 15th at 6pm
We are happy to donate an "all-behaviours-welcome" concert in collaboration with the Autism Society of Edmonton. On Friday March 15th at 6pm, at the Annex Building, we will be performing a mosaique of different movements and excerpts from our repertoire. People in attendance will be allowed to talk, laugh and interact with us, celebrating the deep meaning of music as an expressive form of arts that allows people to be in contact with their own emotions and feelings.
We are thrilled to be part of the 9th season of the St.Albert Chamber Music Society! Established in 2010, this concert series has quickly become one of the highlights of the classical music scene of the Edmonton region. On Saturday March 16th at 7:30 at St.Albert United Church we will be performing works by Runcini, Carlos Gomes and Debussy. Please, join us in their beautiful new venue in the town of St.Albert.
On Sunday March 17th at 3pm, in the beautiful setting of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, we will perform a summa of the history of four voices polyphony including the Contrapunctus IX from "The Art of Fugue" by Johann Sebastian Bach, the spooky "Fifths" quartet by Joseph Haydn, the reminiscing harmonies of "Crisantemi" by Giacomo Puccini and the majestic quartet in G minor by Claude Debussy.
